Why I will miss Arizona
April 9, 2008
When my family was scheduled to move from Texas I let them know I would move anywhere except a desert. Of course, we ended up in Arizona. The summers are long and incredibly hot, but to be fair the winters are very mild. Over the years I have discovered a strange beauty the desert has has to offer. I have come to realize why so many people flock here during the winter every year.
The fauna that thrives in this environment is absolutely beautiful. There are flowers of every color that bloom during the spring, and even those thorny cacti have blossoms as beautiful and fragrant as any other. Below I am posting just a few of the many images in my collection. Watching these beautiful plants bloom and change throughout the seasons here in Arizona has truly been a great source of inspiration. I am particularly fond of their bright colors.
I am glad I had the opportunity to live here, but I have to say I am very happy I will be moving to a much greener environment.
