Happy Design
May 22, 2008
I just watched this video and it was truly fabulous. The speaker is Graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister, and he tells us about his history with happy design. He discusses a few whimsical stories about his experiences with design, and shares some of his favorite happy advertisements that were subsequently incredibly effective. This talk was truly inspirational. I want to go out and make my own speech bubbles and put them all over Arizona, but I have a feeling I would be arrested pretty quickly. I think we will just keep that idea in the emergency design closet for now.
For those of you who don’t know, TED Talks is a conference that brings together people from the technology, entertainment and design fields. It gives them the opportunity to present and discuss important issues and innovation concerning their industries and the world.
